OMG I am in love with this place! I grew up eating this as a kid when my parents used to make this. Also would be able to find it at fast food Vietnamese places. But now I've found a dedicated place that makes these delicious rice rolls! Located in Mira Mesa off Black Mtn Rd and Mira Mesa Blvd. I had heard about this place about a yr ago but never got the chance to try it. Now I know where to go in San Diego to get bánh cuốn (steamed rice rolls). Their main menu is mostly dedicated to the rice rolls but they do have a few other authentic dishes. I got the traditional rice rolls with ground pork inside. It comes with a full plate of rolls, also along with 4 pork patties, bean sprouts, and sliced cucumbers. The other dish was with ground shrimp inside. Both plates come with some fish sauce for dipping which was made very good. Do keep in mind because of the fish sauce, your breath may be fishy (u have been warned ). But it's so worth it! For the price, it's very worth it for what u get. I will definitely be back to eat more of these yummy rolls! Go there and try it out! You won't regret it!

It was my first time visiting Thien Huong since I just moved to the area. We arrived at this restaurant for lunch around 12:15 pm or so on a Sunday, and boy it was busy and bustling. Despite the business, there was still ample parking available which is a plus! We were looking for an Asian deli, and when we walked in it seemed like a no frills kinda place. You order at the counter, they give you a table number and then wait for food to arrive. We ordered Bánh cuốn nhân trứng, thịt and Bánh Mì Chảo 2. I liked the chao more because it was just flavorful and hot. The banh cuon was a nice snack, light and fresh as well. I really liked it. They gave us fish sauce with it, but I think personally I might prefer soy sauce with it. This is just preference though (I'm Chinese so it reminds me of Cheung Fun). Both dishes were freshly made, and the servers were also very nice throughout our meal. I removed a star because it took a crazy long time before we received our order. We waited for 40 minutes for the chao and 50 minutes for the banh cuon. This would have been fine if we didn't have things to do for the rest of the day, but part of the reason why we came here was because we thought the service would be faster. That being said, I will probably still visit Thien Huong again, but likely when I have a few hours free.

The food was absolutely scrumptious!!! Thrilled to have a gem like this in San Diego! The presentation was on point, and the quality was top-notch. The ambiance? Simply delightful and buzzing with energy. Not stuffy at all and super clean. And the service? Flawless and oh-so-accommodating.

Egg Coffee is pretty solid, but I'm from OC so I've had better. The bánh cuốn is the best I've ever had, though, and I'm not sure how they do their nước mắm but it was also the best I've had. You HAVE to try this spot! Food is delectable and doesn't leave you feeling gross after.
